INDIAN CREEK RANCH HEALTHY PUPPY GUARANTEE
1 Year Health Guarantee Against Congenital Defects:
Should a puppy be diagnosed within 1 year of puppy's birthdate with a congenital heart defect that is life-threating; a report from 2 different Vets (DVM), who recommend euthanasia, confirming such an event, is required before any action will be taken by the Seller. Once the Buyer has submitted proof of diagnosis from 2 different licensed DVM (Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine) of their choice within 5 business days from diagnosis; we will contact the Vets. We will also have our Veterinarian do a follow up exam. We will replace the puppy with another puppy as soon as one becomes available. The original puppy must be returned to Indian Creek Ranch.
About Our Veterinary Health Certificate
We are committed to placing healthy puppies into happy homes. Each Microchipped puppy undergoes a comprehensive nose-to-tail health evaluation completed and signed by our Licensed Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine. The Health Certification requires an examination of a puppy’s ears, eyes, mouth, teeth, gums, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, skin and coat, gastrointestinal system, and external genitalia. As well as checking for any signs of illness. The results of this health evaluation are reported by our Vet on the Puppies Health Certificate to be completed shortly before your puppy comes home to ensure you that your puppy is healthy.
Our relationship with you continues well beyond the day your puppy comes home. A puppy's health is dependent on a number of factors like genetics, exercise, food & nourishment, and overall care. While we can't guarantee that your puppy will never have a health problem, we can promise we will do our best to ensure your new family member is healthy from the moment he or she arrives home! Also, that we bred your puppy from parents with good genetics, and that are health tested yearly by our Licensed Vet. Our parents have health exams as well, and our Vet personally approves them to breed. Most of them are AKC Registered and a few are APRI, ACA or CKC.
We keep our puppies
up-to-date on all vaccinations and dewormings and every Microchipped puppy must pass a thorough health check before being allowed to go to their new home.

Before bringing a puppy home, Indian Creek Ranch wants you to know that owning a puppy means frequent visits to a veterinarian and that you will be responsible for bringing your puppy to his/her veterinarian visits in a timely fashion. Your puppy must receive two to three more vaccinations in the series to be fully vaccinated. We provide a detailed schedule, and you can work with your vet to get this completed. You will also want to deworm your puppy on a schedule. We do everything we can to make sure your puppy is as healthy as possible when she/he arrives.
- No Vaccines for 10 Days: Your puppy will arrive up to date on vaccinations. To avoid over-vaccination, you should not vaccinate the puppy within the first ten (10) days after your puppy's arrival.
- Appropriate exercise: All dogs need regular exercise and stimulation. You should speak to your veterinarian about the appropriate amount of exercise for your particular puppy at each stage of its life. In particular, you should be careful to avoid over-exercising your puppy during its growth period.
- Healthy Diet: Your puppy will arrive with information about the type of food it has been fed so far. You should be careful not to under or over feed your puppy.
The most important thing you must do for the good health of your puppy is to complete the deworming and vaccinations needed to insure your puppy continues to enjoy good health. We advise that you avoid all other dog areas until after the second vaccination in the series. Also protect your puppy at the Vet office from all surrondings. Keep your puppy in the crate until the Vet exam.
